Faith is more than belief

Faith is more than belief

Some believers make the great mistake of thinking they are strong in faith when they are no such thing. The reason for this is because they don't distinguish between faith and belief. We can believe all things work together for good for those that love God but not by faith live as if that is the case. We can believe God cares for us but not live by faith as if He did. We can believe God will never leave or forsake us but not live by faith as if that is true. You see the great difference between belief and faith is whether you actually live as if what you believe is true.

There are many believers in Christ who believe all God has said and promised in His word. However when some trial, difficulty or sorrow comes they don't live as if what God said and promised is true. We need to pray that that we might increase in faith ( Luke 17 v 5 ). The more we do then no matter the trials and sorrows that come, we will live and behave by faith as those that have no doubt that God will be faithful to all He has said and promised.

Since the lockdown and the church unable to meet, I've done around 110 thoughts for the day and 4 thoughts for the week while some have had to shield for another month. The question is are you as you were before the Covid 19 crisis without faith in Christ, therefore without any relationship with God in this world and with no hope when you die? The question for those with saving faith in Christ is, is your faith weaker, the same or stronger than it was before Covid 19 began ? Perhaps Jesus is saying to you, "O ye of little faith".
